Hopfrog Pugmire

Continuing on the subject of authors I admire, I encourage those of you who relish Lovecraft, Poe, CA Smith, Chambers,and the decadents, to seek out and read Wilum Pugmire. An underground author for many years, he has deservedly begun to emerge from the shadows and gain wider recognition. His style is opulent and redolent with dream imagery that while an acquired taste for the uninitiated is addicting in its effect. I consider him an important figure in the fields of modern horror and the weird. He is also among the kindest souls working today, which makes his continued ascendance all the more gratifying.
